Bloomfield is an independent charity hospital founded in 1812, by the Quakers in Dublin, Ireland.For over 200 years, Bloomfield Health Services has provided specialist mental health assessment, treatment and support services to adults with a range of serious and enduring mental health issues, and neuro-psychiatric disorders, such as Huntington’s Disease, Schizophrenia, and Alzheimer’s Disease.

As a teaching hospital Bloomfield is affiliated with Trinity College Dublin, the No. 1 rated University in Ireland. In addition to engaging in transnational research programmes, Bloomfield also trains students from a variety of disciplines such as Psychiatry, Pharmacy, Psychology,Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, GP Trainees etc.

Bloomfield Hospital is the only hospital that provides specialised Multidisciplinary (MDT) Mental Health Inpatient care for those with Huntington’s Disease in the Republic of Ireland.
